So with all the baking that I've been doing, I thought it was time to try my hand using some yeast. I mean, how hard can it be right?
I decided to make some STICKY BUNS from scratch on Friday night. After getting a recipe from Food Network, I was off to the store for the ingredients... Ah, yes... the Coors Light was definitely needed because it was going to take 4+ hours to make these damn things.
First came dissolving the yeast
At mixture to dough
Then came letting it rest (initally for 20 mins) Here is the resting dough
After oiling a bowl, and kneading the rested dough came, rubbing the dough in the bowl, and letting it rest for at least another 1 1/2 hours.
(can you see the difference in size)
Here's what the dough should look like after it 2 1/2 hours
Now you stretch the dough
Then you roll the dough
Here's what the cut buns look like inside the "sticky goodness"
Here are the cooked buns and the flipped buns....
ENJOY!
